ARC Broadband Listening Sessions
The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) is hosting a series of virtual broadband listening sessions to better understand how evolving technologies, historic broadband investments, and changing community needs are shaping the future of broadband in Appalachia and its role in supporting long-term economic development. Insights gathered through these sessions will help inform ARC’s future broadband strategy—including policies, project guidance, technical assistance, and other support mechanisms—to ensure the Commission’s programs continue to evolve, address emerging needs, and strengthen the region’s long-term economic competitiveness.
Who Should Participate? Each session is designed for a specific audience. Participants should register for the session that best aligns with their experience and expertise.
Registration: Attendance is limited to 50 participants per session and advanced registration is required. Participants will complete a brief pre-session questionnaire to help inform the discussion. Registration will close once a session reaches capacity.
Session 2: Infrastructure, Technology & Deployment Reality
Focus: Exploring broadband infrastructure capabilities, deployment challenges, remaining infrastructure gaps, and strategies for building scalable and sustainable broadband infrastructure across Appalachia.
