The Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation and the WV Community Development Hub invite you to the WV POWER Summit 2021 on November 17 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. The summit features keynote speaker Appalachian Regional Commission Federal Co-Chair Gayle Manchin.
At the WV POWER Summit, recipients and teams working on Appalachian Regional Commission POWER projects in the Mountain State connect with peers, stakeholders, and funders; learn new skills; and build resilience for their work.
This event is also open to all community and economic development practitioners in West Virginia. Leaders who are interested in scaling up their work through the use of federal funds, including through the ARC POWER initiative and others, are welcome to join us at the summit.
At the summit, we will:
- Bring forward the voices of community and economic development practitioners who are navigating the unique, yet commonly shared, challenges that 2021 created
- Increase our learning in 4 key areas: building organizational resiliency; project launch strategies; technical approaches for mid-term project adjustments; and strategies to move from technical assistance to implementation projects
- Support potential POWER applicants in beginning to prepare for the 2022 ARC POWER application cycle
This summit is an opportunity to connect with colleagues across the state and learn ways to increase the impact of our work, all while promoting and celebrating the innovative community and economic development that happens in West Virginia as a result of investments through the ARC POWER program.
