ARC staff and training facilitator Strategic Consulting Partners hosted a one-hour pre-application webinar to help prospective applicants learn about the READY Nonprofits notice of solicitation of applications (NOSA). This seven-week, no-cost virtual training program will help executive officers of Appalachian nonprofit organizations and their staff and/or board members build essential skills in nonprofit and grant management to better fulfill their missions and sustain their organizations over time. Attendees learned best practices for applying, reviewed important deadlines and had the opportunity to submit questions in an open Q&A.

Cortney Beltz

Cortney Beltz joined ARC in December 2022 as a Grants Management Specialist in the Business Workforce and Investment division. Working under the READY Appalachia program as a Program Analyst, she provides technical assistance and support to applicants and grantees, helping them overcome barriers to progress in both the pre-award and post-award phases of the grant lifecycle. Prior to joining ARC, Cortney worked at Liberty University as a Grants Compliance Officer, overseeing post-award administration for the university in the Office of Sponsored Programs. Prior to that role, she worked in Research Ethics serving as a research analyst for human-subjects research on the university’s Institutional Review Board. Cortney is passionate about issues related to community capacity building, mental and behavioral health, and military resiliency. She holds a master’s degree in professional counseling and in Human Services: Military Resilience.
